Trump's election drives left beyond bounds of decency and civility

The election of the Donald Trump seems to have pushed many in the liberal left over the brink of sanity and common decency. First came the protests and violence. Ironically, this was the same sort of violence that some had expected of Trump supporters in the then-likely event that Hillary Clinton won the election. Even as the protests continue, the leftist response among many non-rioting leftists ranges from the irrational to loathsome.

In one bizarre case, Rachel Zarrell of MTV News tweeted a threat to mail Mike Pence a “monthly bag of period blood” if he “tries to regulate my uterus.” The tweet, posted on Daily Wire, was an apparent reference to Pence’s pro-life views, although another Twitter user answered Zarrell and pointed out her confusion. “Clearly you're ignorant of biology,” DC MCallister wrote. “A uterus and a fetus are two different entities. Saving the latter isn't ‘regulating’ the former.”

Zarrell may also be confused about Mike Pence’s role in the federal government. Laws are passed by Congress and Mike Pence, as the incoming vice president, will have a primarily ceremonial role in Congress. The vice president has very little control over anything. John Nance Garner, vice president to Franklin Roosevelt, famously observed that “the vice presidency is not worth a bucket of warm spit.”

Speaking of containers of bodily fluids, Zarrell might also want check into the Post Office regulations on shipping organic matter. Blood can be considered a biohazard and subject to hazardous materials regulations.

If Zarrell’s tweet was bizarre and disgusting, another anti-Trump protester’s message was, well, deplorable. The message on a protest sign spotted at a Washington, DC rally read, “Rape Melania.” This sign was all the more ironic and reprehensible in light of the campaign issue of Donald Trump and Bill Clinton’s treatment of women.

As the husband of a victim of sexual assault, let me just say that any call to rape or sexually assault anyone has no place in civilized discourse. Even in jest, the suggestion that someone would think that raping a candidate’s wife is an appropriate response to the democratic will of the people is morally bankrupt and indefensible.

Thankfully, as Heat Street pointed out, an associated #RapeMelania hashtag on Twitter was primarily used to condemn the sign.

If rape weren’t bad enough, some online leftists have openly called for and speculated about the assassination of Trump. The New York Post reported that the CEO of a California cybersecurity firm was forced to resign after tweeting a “flawed joke” about killing Trump with a sniper rifle. WCSH News reported that an Ohio man had actually been arrested for tweeting his intention to kill Donald Trump.

Opponents of Donald Trump have the freedom to criticize and protest his election, but should remember that words have meaning. Some words go beyond the bounds of civility and decency and cross the line to criminal behavior.

Voice your opposition, but watch what you say. The Secret Service will.

Leftist con men hijack conservative Facebook pages

In the early morning hours of January 11, a group of leftist con men launched a sneak attack on an undetermined number of conservative Facebook pages. The perpetrators, calling themselves the “Goatz Alliance,” gained access to the conservative pages, deleted the page administrators, and began posting anti-conservative propaganda and memes depicting goats.

Jason Doolin, owner of the conservative Citizens’ Post page on Facebook, said that Patrick Blair, allegedly a representative of The Freedom Alliance contacted him several months ago about helping him to expand his page. Blair gained his trust over a period of months. There is a real Freedom Alliance as well, a Virginia based charity organized as 501(c)(3) organization that educates young Americans in civic responsibility and provides scholarships to the children of American soldiers.

Blair apparently operated several fake conservative Facebook pages and websites as a cover. In some cases, he seems to have even recruited conservative activists to administer and work on these pages, only to delete their work and revert the pages to goats later. Blair used the fake conservative pages to make conservative friends and seem more credible to his targets.

Doolin said that after gaining his trust Blair proposed an “admin exchange” in which the various pages in his Freedom Alliance would grant each other administrator status and exchange ideas. The plan was also promoted as a way to increase awareness of smaller pages like Doolin’s Citizens’ Post.

Blair allegedly put his plan in to action on January 10. He asked Doolin to grant administrator status to himself and a friend, Lyman Briggs. Late that night, Blair and his comrade deleted Doolin and his other page administrators and vandalized the page with anti-conservative and anti-Republican hate.

Doolin attempted to contact Facebook to report the abuse and theft of his page, but it is almost impossible to get in touch with Facebook’s customer service and security personnel. Although Facebook says on its legal page that the company “respects the intellectual property rights of others and is committed to helping third parties protect their rights,” the company makes it very difficult to report problems.

Emily Garman on the blog, The Social Animal, posted a video that describes the process to recover control of a hijacked Facebook organizational page. The process is essentially to report the abuse via dropdown menus on the page and hope that a Facebook representative deigns to contact you. A search of the internet did turn up a Facebook page with a procedure for reclaiming business pages. Depending on how the page was set up, this procedure may allow users to regain control of hijacked sites.

Patrick Blair was traced to a Facebook page in Buxton, Maine. On his timeline, he admitted to duping conservatives and “goating” their pages. Blair appears to also be involved with pages called “Busta Troll” and “Busta’s Army.” These pages are dedicated to “trolling,” visiting opposing sites and trying to provoke arguments. A post on Busta’s Army from January 10 claims responsibility for hijacking Doolin’s Citizens’ Post.

Various posts on the three pages refer to “paid liberal trolls.” It is unknown whether these internet denizens are actually paid and, if so, by whom. On his Facebook page, Blair claims to be paid by George Soros, but this is doubtful.

Examiner’s investigation turned up an several earlier attacks by the Goatz Alliance. Miss Lilly (name changed to protect her identity) was an administrator on a conservative page called, “America, the Next Generation.” One of the other administrators on the page posted a picture of President Obama in a noose, a picture that Miss Lilly agrees was “in bad taste.” The page’s owner removed the picture, but not before it was noticed by leftist bloggers.

Orlando Liberal Examiner Robert Sobel was apparently the first to notice the picture on December 31, 2013. The next day, Addicting Info, a far left-wing blog picked up the story and credited Steve Marmel, “a TV writer and producer with a left-wing Facebook page,” for pointing it out.

As the story hit the liberal blogs, Miss Lilly said their page was inundated with liberal trolls. “These were the nastiest, vilest [people],” she says. “I have never encountered such utter hatred and contempt. This goes way beyond racism. They called us racists, but what they said and did to us was beyond the scope and definition of racism. They are truly sick people.”

She continued, “We must have banned hundreds and hundreds of them. Facebook did nothing to help.”

Eventually, the site’s owners were contacted by James M. Ritchie, a.k.a. “Ranger,” who claimed to be a “troll killer.” Ritchie offered to help the site’s owners fight off the liberal attacks if they granted him administrator status on the page.

About the same time, the goats first appeared on the page, posted by a user calling himself “Vlad the Emailer.” Vlad claimed that goats were “an international peace sign” and offered his help as well. Another user who offered help, “Irwin Jr.,” may also be one of the goats.

There are several levels of administrators on Facebook pages. Content creators can post content, moderators can delete comments and messages, and managers have the ability to delete other administrators. Ritchie quickly persuaded the site’s owner to grant him manager access. Almost immediately, the page was hijacked and the legitimate administrators were deleted.

At this point, Patrick Blair enters the story. Miss Lilly says that he contacted the owners and told them that he had seen what happened to their page and that he wanted to help as well. He said that he had several pages that were “abandoned” by other administrators and offered to give one to the owners of America, The Next Generation. Where Blair got these pages is uncertain, but they may have been hijacked as well. Miss Lilly worked on one of these pages until Blair changed it back to goat pictures again over the weekend. “All they got from me the second time,” she says, “was the pleasure of calling me a dummy.”

Miss Lilly also said, “We took the goats for what they are, symbols of Satanism.”

While there is no evidence that Blair and his band are Satanists, they have made anti-Christian and anti-religious postings on their pages. It is likely that they have the same anti-religious beliefs that many members of the modern left seem to share.

At this point, Examiner has identified at least seven pages that have been hijacked by the goats. Owners of conservative Facebook pages should be aware that Patrick Blair and Busta’s Army may try to target them as well. While it might be difficult to stop a horde of liberal trolls like the one that assaulted Miss Lilly’s page, owners can prevent their pages from being hijacked by not elevating anyone to administrator status that they do not know personally. In most cases, the page owner should keep manager status for himself or closely trusted associates.

Abuse or harassment should be reported to Facebook. This can be done by clicking the gear symbol at the top of the offending page or user’s timeline and selecting “report page.” Individual posts can be reported as well. Click the “v” symbol in the upper right corner of the post. This will open a menu with an option to “report post.” Any threats should definitely be reported to Facebook as well as to the police.

Occupiers vs. the Tea Party

The recent movement to “occupy” Wall St. and various American cities is being likened to a progressive Tea Party by many on the left and in the media. There are important distinctions between the three-year-old Tea Party movement and the three-week-old occupations.

The most obvious is that the Tea Party is a right-wing movement made of conservatives and libertarians. These are people who do not normally take part in demonstrations. Conversely, the left-wingers that make up the occupation movement will typically demonstrate at the drop of a hat. Over the years there have been leftist demonstrations to save the whales, encourage a nuclear freeze, end global warming, save the spotted owls, and end whichever war is going on at the time, among many others.

Along the same lines, the Tea Partiers go home. Most of them have jobs and families to go home to. Many of the occupiers seem to be young people who recently graduated and have not been able to find jobs. This explains why they are able to stay in their occupation zones for so long. The occupations started on September 17, approximately three weeks ago, and they show no signs of going home.

The Tea Party also offered concrete ideas for reform in contrast to the occupiers, who don’t seem to know what they want, other than to rail against Wall St. and capitalism. The Tea Party advocates cuts in government spending and a return to a more limited role of government. In particular, they opposed the passage of Obamacare and press for its repeal.

The occupiers have yet to find a voice, however. The Occupy Wall St. web site itself contains a discussion titled “Occupy Wall St. demands are abstract.” The “about” section of the site says that “our species and our world are in crisis” and that the “U.S. has an important role to play in the solution,” but it doesn’t say what they imagine the solution to be.

Ominously, another difference in the Tea Party and the occupiers is the propensity for racism and violence. Arrests at Tea Party events were rare if they happened at all. Already, however, there have been arrests at the sites of many occupations including Wall St., Des Moines, San Francisco, and Seattle. Although there is an Occupy Atlanta encampment in Woodruff Park, thus far no arrests have been reported there.

The hacker group Anonymous has threatened to attack financial company computer systems on behalf of the occupiers after violence between protesters and police broke out when the occupiers decided to stop traffic. There have been more direct threats of violence as well. Politico reports that state legislators in New York received an email message that threatened to “kill the wealthy.” The email, which contained talking points from the Occupy Wall St. movement such as the claim that one percent of the population controls 99 percent of the wealth, said that if New York did not renew the surtax on millionaires that “I’m going to pay a visit with my carbine to one of those tech companies you are so proud of and shoot every spoiled Ivy League [expletive] I can find.”

Racism at Tea Parties was an oft made charge, but there was very little evidence to back up the claim. On this the occupy movement is also different. Several videos have surfaced of occupiers making anti-Semitic comments and voicing conspiracy theories about how the “Jews control Wall St.”

There may be racism against some minorities as well as anti-Semitism. At the Occupy Atlanta encampment, the protesters refused to allow John Lewis, a U.S. congressman and hero of the civil rights movement, to speak. In fairness, this might not have been racism as much as disenchantment with the political process and political parties in general. Regardless, the video of the incident, with occupiers repeating the words of each speaker en masse, is amusing to watch.

In general, while the Tea Party is largely mainstream in their composition and beliefs, the occupation movement is made of left-wing radicals that most Americans would find out of the mainstream. While Tea Partiers typically say the Pledge of Allegiance and sing the “Star Spangled Banner,” the occupiers seem to feel ill at ease in America. This is an obvious explanation for the phrase “occupy Wall St.” They are in the midst of an ideological war against the rest of the country. This includes the current Democratic administration, which is probably fooling itself if it thinks that the occupations will help its reelection campaign.

Oh, and by the way, about that claim that one percent controls 99 percent of the wealth? It isn’t true. You can look it up for yourself here.

Woman tells why she sent bloody pig foot to congressman

As a follow up to the story last week about Jameela Barnette, the Marietta woman who allegedly mailed a pig foot to Rep. Peter King and a Curious George doll to N.Y. state Senator Greg Ball, Examiner.com spoke with Mrs. Barnette to find out just why she sent the packages to the lawmakers.  In the story last week, Examiner.com detailed how Barnette was accused of sending anti-Semitic and anti-Christian letters along with a bloody pig foot and a stuffed Curious George doll emblazoned with anti-Semitic references.  The story was simultaneously published on CaptainKudzu.com, where Jameela left several comments. 

Mrs. Barnette says that her name is Jameela Barnette, in spite of initial reports that her first name was Jacquelyn.  She is married with two daughters and one granddaughter.  She is originally from California, but now lives in Marietta. 

Mrs. Barnette confirms that she did send the letters, the pig foot, and the monkey to Rep. King and Sen. Ball.  She provided copies of the letters sent to the lawmakers.  As initially reported the letters would be deemed offensive and insulting, and probably alarming as well, by most people. 

Mrs. Barnette was reportedly a blogger, but says that she does not have her own blog.  She says that she posts on anti-Muslim websites such as Jihad Watch and Creeping Sharia.  She has provided several examples of her “revelations,” some of which will be attached to this article as comments.

When asked whether she believes that her mailings broke the law, Mrs. Barnette states that she is certain that she did not.  She states that she attended law school for a semester and that one of her daughters and a son-in-law are attorneys.  She says that she does not have a prior criminal record and that she still has not been contacted by law enforcement.  She does say that she sent Rep. King an email on a prior occasion.  The congressman contacted the U.S. Capitol police, who then contacted Mrs. Barnette.  She says that the matter never went any further.  She also provided the author with a copy of a letter sent to Attorney General Eric Holder in November 2010 accusing Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) with treason for pledging allegiance to Israel.  This letter can also be seen in a Facebook posting.

According to inquiries with the U.S. Capitol police and the N.Y. State Police, the matter is under investigation.  The F.B.I. declined to comment and the Marietta Police Department and G.B.I. say that they are not aware of the case.  The letters are rife with hateful speech and insults, including an invitation for Rep. King to “kiss my black, Muslim-American a--” and a prophecy that Sen. Ball will contract prostate cancer, but seem to stop short of overt threats.  She seems to have tried to avoid breaking the law, even while pushing the law’s limits to make her point. 

What was her point exactly?  In her words, “My only goal was to warn them of the coming torment of their Lord.”  Mrs. Barnette is a Hanif Muslim.  Hanif Islam’s adherents believe that it is a pure form of Islam that was originally practiced by Abraham, the Biblical patriarch.  Hanifs are neither Sunni nor Shia.  They reject the hadiths, traditions of the sayings and actions of Muhammad outside the Quran that are accepted by Sunnis and Shiites. 

Mrs. Barnette says, “There is only one branch of Islam and it is called Hanif Islam, the religion of Abraham, who was a pure Muslim. Those who break themselves into sects (i.e. Shia and Sunni) have disobeyed their Lord, Allah, therefore there is no Shia and Sunni, only disobedient wanna-be [sic] Muslims.” 

Mrs. Barnette, who typically signs her name with the terms “Messenger of Allah and Defender of Islam,” says that she does not attend a mosque because “because I choose not to be in the company of compliant and cowardly Muslims, who are not Muslims [emphasis hers] because they consider themselves ‘Moderate’ Muslims and they have compromised their religion away.” 

Interestingly, Mrs. Barnette says that she used to be Jewish.  She says that she attended Ohr Hatorah Synagogue in the Los Angeles area when she lived in California.  After reading the Quran, she became convinced that it represented absolute truth.  She says that both of her daughters still practice Judaism.  Mrs. Barnette now believes the words of the Quran when it says that Jews were transformed by Allah into “monkeys and swine” (Surah 5:60).

Mrs. Barnette answers with a simple “yes” when asked if terrorist attacks and suicide bombings are justified.  When asked whether she has any connection to groups that use violence or terror, she says,”Yes.  By virtue of my citizenship, I am a citizen of the biggest terrorist group in the annals of history, the United States of America.”

She says that she does not hate the United States, however.  “How can I hate the country that my ancestor’s slave labor built?  I consider myself to be the Last American Patriot.  Just because I don’t agree with the majority of Americans on foreign policy, doesn’t mean I hate my country.   I love the country that my ancestor’s slave labor built.  And on the Day of Resurrection, you will learn the majority was wrong about religion” [emphasis hers].

Whether she hates the U.S. or not, Mrs. Barnette would like to see it changed.  She says that she would like to see Islamic law, referred to as sunnah, imposed on the United States, although she doesn’t believe it will happen in her lifetime.  She quotes a hadith verse which says that “all mankind will be required to embrace Islam with no other alternative” (Abu Dawud 37:4310).  Her letter to Rep. King looks toward a future where “America will be a bright, Muslim-friendly America, it will be an America where white b-----s will name their sons Mohammad and those former, blond-haired, blue-eyed, bible-belt b-----s will veil their dirty-white faces and the faces of their dirty-white daughters…”  She says that America’s only option is to “accept defeat and embrace Islam.” 

When asked who she voted for in the 2008 presidential election, Mrs. Barnette says that her vote for Barack Obama was “the worst mistake I can recall making in recent history.  I miss President George Bush, as do most Americans.”

Pig foot package woman responds, advocates Muslim violence

Yesterday Examiner.com reported the story of Jacquelyn Barnett, the Marietta woman who allegedly mailed a bloody pig foot to Rep. Peter King and an anti-Semitic Curious George doll to Greg Ball, a N.Y. state senator.  The article was simultaneously posted on the author’s personal blog, CaptainKudzu.com, where Ms. Barnett apparently saw it and decided to respond. 

The response came in the form of two comments posted under the name “Jameela.”  According to sources cited in the original article, Jameela is a pseudonym or nickname used by Ms. Barnett.  Jameela is an Arabic name that means “beautiful” or “lovely.”  Ms. Barnett is self-described as a Muslim and reportedly is blogger.

The author of the comments could not be reached because she left no email address or other identifying information.  The author responded to the comments with a request that Ms. Barnett contact him for an interview, but so far she has not done so. 

While the author of the comments cannot be conclusively identified, it is most likely Ms. Barnett.  The tone and style of the comments is consistent with quotes and descriptions of the letters and emails sent to Rep. King and Sen. Ball.  They are being reprinted here unedited except for the removal of profanity.  The comments would be construed by many as racist and offensive.  The parentheses are unedited from the original posting and apparently denote verses in the Koran.

Warning:  What follows is offensive, anti-Semitic, and racist.  Do not read if you are a sensitive person.

The first comment is as follows:

We are ALL Arabs, Except the Jews


(“I convey to you the Messages of my Lord and give sincere advice to you. And I know from Allah what you know not.”)

Allah reveals in the following Verse of the Qur’an the entire earth’s population are descendants of Adam, with the exception of the Jews, as they are the Children of Iblis aka Israel.

(It is He who has created you from a single person (Adam), and has given you a place of residing (on the earth or in your mother’s wombs) and a place of storage [in the earth (in your graves) or in your father’s loins]. Indeed, We have explained in detail Our revelations (this Qur’an) for a people who understand.)

It is revealed in the following Hadith, that Adam spoke Arabic, which means Adam was an Arab, and ALL the Children of Adam are of Arab descent. And this is the reason Allah sent the Children of Adam an Arab messenger aka Prophet Muhammad [phuh].

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet said, “Allah created Adam in His Image, sixty cubits (about 30 metres) in height. When He created him, He said (to him), “Go and greet that group of angels sitting there, and listen what they will say in reply to you, for that will be your greeting and the greeting of your offspring.” Adam (went and) said, “As-Salamu Alaikum [peace be upon you].” They replied, “As-Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah {Peace and Allah’s mercy be on you).” So they increased Wa Rahmatullah.” The Prophet added, “So, whoever will enter Paradise, will be of the shape and picture of Adam. Since then the creation of Adam’s {offspring} {i.e. stature of human beings} is being diminished up to the present time.

The dirty-white race is the race furthest removed from the racial purity of our Arab father Adam, and by default, this makes the dirty-white race the morally and melanin depleted garbage race and not the master race, only master fools. Allah will dispose of the dirty-white garbage race in the manner in which Allah Disposes of the garbage that He has created. Allah Will burn the dirty-white garbage race in the bowels of the Hell-fire for worshipping a murdered Jew as god, along with their evil Jew masters. Allah reveals the Jew’s father in the following Verse of the Qur’an:

(I (Allah) made them (Iblis and his offspring) not to witness (nor took their help in) the creation of the heavens and the earth and not (even) their own creation, nor was I (Allah) to take the misleaders as helpers.)

([This is the] Revelation sent down from the Lord of the Alamin [mankind, jinn and all that exists].)

([He is Allah] Owner of High Ranks and Degrees, the Owner of the Throne. He sends the revelation by His Command to any of His slaves He wills, that he (the person who receives revelation) may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting [i.e. the Day of Resurrection].

(No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths [i.e. He begot sons and daughters]. They utter nothing but a lie.)

(Your Ilah [God] is One Ilah [God-Allah, none has the right to be worshipped but He])

(“And indeed, We created man from dried [sounding] clay of altered mud. And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire.”).

(And I have created the jinn and men only to worship Me).

(And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.”)

Georgia woman threatens lawmakers with pig foot, Curious George doll

A Marietta woman has reportedly admitted to mailing threatening packages to a congressman and a New York state senator.  In a story reported by the New York Post, an Albany N.Y. Fox affiliate and Fox News, Jacquelyn Barnett mailed a package containing a bloody pig foot to Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) and a stuffed Curious George doll to N.Y. state senator Greg Ball, also a Republican.  King’s package was discovered and intercepted at a congressional mail depot by the US Postal Service, but Ball’s package made it to his legislative office.  Police were called after the package was discovered.

Barnett, a self-described Muslim, wrote anti-Semitic and anti-Christian letters to accompany her packages.  The packages and letters were apparently sent because Barnett was angry at Rep. King for holding hearings to investigate the possibility of the radicalization of American Muslims.   The pig foot was apparently sent because Muslims view pigs as sinful and unclean. 

Senator Ball was apparently also targeted because of similar hearings held by New York’s Senate Homeland Security Committee, which Ball chairs.  Ball was recently accused of Muslim bashing after inviting Nonie Darwish, who is described as an anti-Islam author, to testify.

Ball’s package contained a stuffed Curious George doll adorned with Stars of David, a note that said “Final Destination:  Auschwitz,” and was accompanied by a vial of liquid that was later determined to be perfume (photos of the doll are available on Fox 23’s website).  Curious George’s creators, H.A. and Margaret Reys, were German Jews who living in Paris prior to WWII.  They fled just ahead of the German invasion of France and eventually resettled in New York in 1940.

The letter sent to Sen. Ball said, “Instead of bashing the intellectually superior Muslims, shouldn't a handsome, cannibalized crazy, Christian cracker like yourself be in church chomping on Jew-god corpse and washing it down with Jew-god blood under the pretense of 'Holy Communion'” according to Lohud.com.  It continued, “…    the plush monkey/miniature Jew I have gifted you with is an accurate representation of who the Jews are and what you stupid Christians worship.”

Rep. King’s letter, which was intercepted on April 4, closed with a suggestion that the congressman “kiss my black, Muslim-American a--,” according to the Post.  When asked by the Post why she sent the packages, Barnett reportedly answered, “I thought the letters explain themselves.”

Barnett is apparently a radical Muslim blogger as well as a grandmother.  Lohud.com notes that she had posted anti-Semitic comments on several websites.  The letter sent to Sen. Ball contained virulently hateful speech.  She allegedly also filled out an online contact form on Sen. Ball’s website complete with her name, phone number, email address, and verses from the Koran.  Amazingly, Barnett reportedly had not been contacted by law enforcement. 

While researching this article, the author contacted several law enforcement agencies about the matter.  A spokesman for the Secret Service did confirm that Rep. King is not their protectee and suggested that the US Capitol Police were probably handling the case.  Agent Steve Emmet of the Atlanta field office of the FBI declined to comment on whether the FBI was involved in an investigation of Ms. Barnett.  Agent Mike Fordham of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said that there was no record of Jaquelyn Barnett in the GBI system.  Calls to the New York State Police, the Marietta Police Department, and the Atlanta District office of the US Postal Service have not been returned.

Sgt. Schneider of the US Capitol Police did confirm that the case was still open and under investigation.  She could not confirm any details or provide information on whether Ms. Barnett might have links to any jihadist groups.  At this point, she could also not say whether charges against Ms. Barnett might be pending.  Under federal law, it is possible that Ms. Barnett might be charged with a Class C or D felony.  If convicted, the charge could carry a penalty of five to ten years in prison. 

Rep. King told Politico.com that Barnett “obviously has problems” and “appears to be a disturbed person who seems to be getting carried away with herself.”
